showing和telling的区别

showing和telling都有说话的意思，但是在用法和读音上大有区别，如下：

1、用法不同。

showing一般作及物动词用，着重说话的内容，它的宾语可以是名词，代词或宾语从句。（say sth to ***）telling常作及物动词，意为“讲述，告诉”，动词常跟双宾语。（tell *** sth/tell sth to ***）2、读音不同。showing的英式读法是[seɪ]；美式读法是[seɪ]。tell的英式读法是[tel]；美式读法是[tel]。相关例句：showing用作动词 (v.)1、He said hello to me with a smile.他面带微笑地和我打了个招呼。
